Next up on the Tee Box –
Thursday, June 25th – Guest Day / Membership Mingle – We have spent many hours trying to increase the participation in this event. In past years, we moved the time back thinking it would encourage workers only taking a half day of vacation if they participated in the 9 hole event. That didn’t work and even worse, we interfered with our most popular league – Thursday Night Ladies League. In the past, members had to pay for their guest’s golf & lunch & bring a prize. For this year, we are offering either choice – 2 person or 4 person scramble, 9 holes or 18. Some members like to participate in a 2 person scramble and golf with just their guest and others like to golf & mingle with a 4 person scramble. All the 9 holes will be in the same division and all the 18 holes will be in the same division.
The bottom line is this – Entering is not about the price or number of holes, it’s about supporting your club, bringing a guest, or being paired up with another member if you have no guest. It’s about our club having its own day with women on the course. Our past members fought for the removal of Gentleman Only, Ladies Forbidden. Mark is donating the guests golf and cart. You only pay for your golf & cart, your lunch, and your guest’s lunch.
Wednesday, July 22nd – 69th Women’s Invitational – a tournament flighted by handicap with a regular division & a senior division (60 & older).
