Handicap Flag Policy Reminder at Nemadji Golf Course
At Nemadji, we’re proud to offer accommodations that support golfers with mobility challenges. However, we’ve recently seen issues with handicap flags not being returned and misuse of cart privileges on the course.
To keep this program fair and effective, we kindly ask all golfers to follow these important guidelines:
Eligibility
Handicap flags are available to golfers with:
• A valid state-issued handicap placard or license plate
• A doctor’s note for a temporary or permanent mobility limitation
• A visible physical impairment
(Temporary use may be approved by management.)
Privileges
Golfers with a handicap flag may:
• Drive carts closer to greens and tees — but must stay at least 10 feet away
• Never drive or park on tee boxes, fringes, or approach areas
• Park in the rough only when near greens and tees
• Avoid slopes, wet turf, and sensitive areas
• Cart path-only rules still apply during wet or unsafe conditions
Important
Handicap flags must be requested from staff before each round. This allows us to log the flag on the tee sheet so our Starters and Rangers know who is approved to use them.
Flags are issued per round and must be returned after play. Taking them home or not following the rules may result in loss of the privilege.
Thank you for helping us protect the course and keep this program available for those who truly need it.
