Frequently Asked Questions
What are your Cart Rules?
- Only 2 riders per cart.
- Absolutely no one is allowed to ride on the back bumper, or on top of any cart. Please keep all body parts inside the cart at all times
- All operators of golf carts must be 16 years of age with a valid drivers license.
- Each golfer needs to pay a cart fee (cart fees are per seat, not for the entire cart)
- There is an additional rider fee for any person that will be riding along and not playing golf. (Please see the rates page for all applicable fees)
- No personal carts are allowed on the course
- No golf carts are allowed on the Compass Par 3 Course
- Carts must be parked on the cart path near all tee boxes and putting greens
- Carts must stay on the path on all Par 3’s
Can i book a tee time for less than 4 golfers?
- Yes, but any single, 2-some, or 3-some may get paired up with other golfers.
- Nemadji is a very busy golf course and our policy is to maximize our tee sheet. This means you may and most likely will get paired up if you do not have a 4-some.
- Aside from ensuring the maximum number of golfers are able to use the course per day, pairing people up ensures a steady pace of play for all golfers.
What does it mean that Nemadji is a 90 degree facility?
- This means that EVERY DAY, we would like you to use the cart path as much as possible
- Please do not drive down the middle of any fairway.
- Drive on the cart path until you reach where your ball is and then cut across the fairway 90 degrees to where your ball is. Once you hit your shot, drive back to the cart path and drive on the cart path to your next shot.
Do you have Beverage Carts?
- Yes, we normally have one beverage cart designated to each 18 hole course, along with water coolers stationed periodically on the course.
- On hot days, please plan ahead and get water ahead of your round. We do our best to make sure water coolers are filled and beverage carts are seeing every golfer, but we are not perfect.
- We do have complimentary cups and water coolers located inside the Greens View Grille for you to hydrate before or during your round. We encourage all golfers to bring their own water bottle to fill from these water coolers.
- We do have coolers to bring multiple beverages from our bar onto the course. They must be signed for and returned after your round
- Nemadji Golf Course prohibits all alcohol not purchased at from the course.
What is the Pace of Play?
- Our recommended pace of play is 4 hours for 18 holes.
- Pace of play will be enforced, especially on busy days.
- IF your group is unable to keep the recommended pace, you may be asked to leave the course and your money will be refunded for the golf you have not played. We encourage all beginners to start on our complimentary Par 3 course if you are unable to keep pace of play.
What is the Compass Course?
- The Compass Course is a 3 hole-Par 3 facility that is located just past 1 North tee box, down by our maintenance building
- It is free to use for everyone.
- Please check in with the pro shop before using the compass courses. There are scorecards located in the Pro shop as well
- It is used as a practice facility in addition to a par 3 course. If you intend to use the Compass Course as a practice facility, please allow all golfers to play through.
- There is no parking for cars by the Compass Course and we do not allow personal vehicles down the maintenance road. Please park in the general parking area and walk if you are able. If you are unable to walk, please ask for a ride when checking into the pro shop.
Does Nemadji allow 5-somes?
- Yes we do. 5-some tee times must be made in person or by calling the Pro shop.
- All 5-somes MUST make pace of play with no exceptions.
- Under no circumstance will we allow more than 5 golfers in a group.
Why do we start on the back 9's on certain days?
- We alternate starting 9’s Mon-Thursday for maintenance purposes
- We also alternate so golfers who are only playing 9 holes can experience all courses.
